About the Instructor

A young teacher who started right where your child is now.

I began playing music in elementary school — first at a small upright piano, then a borrowed trumpet that never quite left my side. Today I'm a first-year student at the University of Virginia, and teaching young musicians the way I've been taught is the part of my week I look forward to most.

My lessons are devoted to the fundamentals: clean technique, real musicality, and the steady confidence that comes from genuine progress — one week at a time.
